Who is it for?

What brings people
to a session.

Most people I see have already tried many things. They are looking for another, gentler way to approach their body, often alongside medical treatment or follow-up.

  • Pain that lasts or keeps coming back Back, neck, shoulders, lower back: tension you have been carrying for months, which returns as soon as daily life picks up again.
  • Stress and a nervous system on alert Nervous fatigue, light sleep, the feeling of never really settling. Slow touch helps the body come out of alert mode.
  • Emotional tension The body keeps a trace of what we have been through. Some tension eases more easily through touch than through words.
  • After a difficult period Injury, burnout, pregnancy, recovery, a move abroad: to feel at home in your body again, alongside medical care.

The treatment

What is
fascia therapy?

Fascia is a network of membranes that wraps every muscle, organ and nerve. It is continuous: tension in one place can be felt somewhere else.

Developed by Danis Bois in the 1980s, the Danis Bois method (MDB) is a gentle manual therapy for this tissue. The touch is slow and precise, with no sudden manipulation: it accompanies the body towards its own release rather than forcing it.

You may also come across fasciapulsology, a related method from another school. I practise the Danis Bois method, learnt over several years of training and supported by university research on the method.

  • The whole body: not only the painful area
  • Body and mind together: physical tension and emotional states are linked
  • Self-regulation: the body is guided towards balance, never forced

What it can bring you

Three effects
people often describe.

Release

Less tension

Restrictions in the fascia ease gradually, which can relieve long-standing pain and give back range of movement.

Move

More mobility

As suppleness returns, the body reorganises itself: posture adjusts and movements become smoother.

Settle

Deep calm

Slow touch supports the body’s rest-and-recovery mode and helps lower stress. Many people describe a calm that lasts after the session.

Every body responds in its own way: these are the effects people describe most often, not a promise. Sessions are a wellbeing practice and do not replace medicine or medical advice.

Frequently asked questions

What is Danis Bois fascia therapy (MDB)?

A gentle manual therapy developed by Danis Bois that works with the fascia, the membranes that connect the whole body. The touch is slow and attentive, with no sudden manipulation.

How is it different from osteopathy or massage?

Massage mostly works on the muscles, osteopathy on structures and their mobility. Fascia therapy addresses the tissue that connects everything, with a slow touch that lets the body find its own release. These approaches complement each other.

Does it hurt?

No. The touch is gentle and respects your sensations. You may feel warmth, inner movement or deep relaxation, never pain caused by the treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

A first session lets us take stock and lets you feel the work. For long-standing tension, a few sessions close together are often useful, then a more spaced-out rhythm. We decide together, with no commitment.

Are there contraindications?

Fascia therapy is gentle, but it does not replace medical advice. With unexplained acute pain, fever or a condition still being diagnosed, see your doctor first.

Is the session in English?

Yes. I hold sessions in English or in French, as you prefer, and you can write to me in English at any time, by e-mail or WhatsApp.

Can I get a receipt for my insurance?

Yes, I can give you an invoice. Whether it is reimbursed depends on your insurance or French mutuelle: please check with them.
